TP-Link has started to sell the new Tapo C630 Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit in Europe. This smart home product is designed for outdoor use, helping you to remotely monitor your property.
The Tapo C630 is a 3K 5MP security camera with full-color and IR night vision modes. According to the brand, it can detect movement up to 60 ft (~18.3 m) away, and it can rotate up to 360° horizontally and 130° vertically. The camera intelligently tracks moving objects and has a free identification tool, determining whether the subject is a person, a pet or a vehicle. Users will receive these notifications via the Tapo app, where they can also remotely manage the device.
Tapo’s C630 Kit includes a solar panel attached to the security camera with a 13 ft (~4 m) long cable for optimal positioning. TP-Link suggests that 45 minutes of direct sunlight is enough to power the device for 24 hours, and the integrated battery offers a 180 day power reserve. Users can choose to store video clips in the cloud with a Tapo Care subscription, or locally on an up to 512GB microSD card (sold separately). This is an IP65-rated weatherproof model, operating in temperatures from -20°C to 45°C (-4°F to 113°F).
In the UK and Germany, you can now buy the TP-Link Tapo C630 Kit for £159.99/€109.90. This product is also available to pre-order via the brand’s Amazon storefront in Italy, where it is priced at €119.99, and scheduled for release on January 29th 2026. It remains to be seen when this model could reach other European countries.
