Philips Hue app version 5.59 is now available for iOS and Android devices. This is the first update for the smart home app in 2026, arriving several weeks after the December 2025 version 5.57 release.
The change log for Philips Hue app version 5.59 is relatively simple. It states that there are “various bug fixes and stability improvements”, without providing further details. As such, it is unclear how this release will benefit users of the brand’s smart home products.
At CES 2026, Signify, the company behind the Philips Hue brand, announced several new features. These include the SpatialAware room layout analysis tool, and Apple Home support for Hue Secure cameras and the Hue Secure Video Doorbell (curr. $169.99 at Amazon). Plus, the Philips Hue AI assistant will get support for Dutch, Spanish and German, three new languages joining the existing English version of the tool. On top of this, a recent update for the Hue Bridge and Hue Bridge Pro devices indicated that users would soon be able to view automations directly in a room or zone. It is not clear why any of these new features are not included with this update.
Should you wish to download the Philips Hue app version 5.59, you can do so via the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. It remains to be seen when the app will gain its first new features of 2026.
