Another update is about to roll out to users of the Philips Hue Bridge v2 and Bridge Pro devices. The two smart hubs were updated earlier in January 2026, preparing the products for an upcoming improvement for Automation controls.
Now, Philips Hue has announced Bridge Pro Software version 2071209010 and Bridge v2 Software version 1975134020. This appears to be a smaller update than its predecessor, with the change log simply stating that it brings “several small changes” to users. Unfortunately, the company has not provided any other details, so it is unclear how these releases will benefit users.
Fans are still waiting to receive the new Automation-related feature announced in the previous update for the Hue Bridges. It will allow Philips Hue app users to adjust Automations directly from the room or zone; this will save them from having to go to the dedicated Automations tab. The functionality is expected to arrive in a future update for the Philips Hue app.
In its recent note on the relevant support pages, Philips Hue indicates that users of the Hue Bridge v2 and Hue Bridge Pro (curr. $98.99 at Amazon) can expect to receive the latest software in the next few days. It will be pushed to the devices over the air, so long as you have automatic updates enabled in the Philips Hue app.
