The Philips Hue Turaco Outdoor Wall Light is getting an upgrade. Designed to throw light onto the exterior walls of your home, the original version of this smart light launched in 2018. This older model was limited to white lighting effects.
However, a new Philips Hue Turaco Outdoor Wall Light recently appeared at the brand’s Amazon UK storefront. This updated model has an A60 bulb that can generate white and colored lighting. It is also more powerful, offering up to 1,100 lumens of brightness; its predecessor could only deliver up to 806 lumens. The Turaco smart light is dimmable, with remote controls available via the Philips Hue smartphone app. Here, users can set up smart features, like ‘Welcome Home’ lighting to automatically illuminate your driveway, and presence-mimicking settings to deter intruders while you are away.
As usual, users of the Philips Hue Turaco Outdoor Wall Light will need a Hue Bridge or Hue Bridge Pro (curr. $98.99 at Amazon) to access all of its features. Plus, this makes it a Matter compatible device which can integrate with other smart home ecosystems and be controlled with Siri or Google Assistant voice commands. The smart light measures 212 x 118 x 101 mm (~8.35 x 4.65 x 3.98 inches), and comes with wall fasteners and screws.
You can now buy the upgraded Philips Hue Turaco Outdoor Wall Light at Amazon UK for £99.99. It is also available through the retailer in countries like France for €114.41. It is unclear when it will be officially released in other countries.
