IKEA appears to be about to launch the new Varmblixt LED table/wall lamp, dimmable smart/white glass colour and white spectrum, 30 cm. This smart home device was announced earlier in January 2026, alongside the upcoming smart Varmblixt pendant light.
Initially, IKEA stated that the Varmblixt products would be released in April 2026. However, a recent product listing on the brand’s website in Sweden suggests that the LED table/wall lamp could be released in the near future. This product is currently out of stock online and in physical stores. However, it is unlikely that IKEA would have created this new page so far in advance of an April release.
The listing for the IKEA Varmblixt LED table/wall lamp also confirms the price in Sweden; here, it will retail for SEK 699. This is the same RRP as the original Varmblixt lamp, suggesting that the newer smart version could retail for $99.99 in the US, £55.00 in the UK and €59.99 in the EU. We also now know that it will measure 30 x 12 cm (11.8 x 4.7 inches), with the light source delivering up to 180 lumens of brightness and running for around 25,000 hours.
In the earlier announcement, IKEA stated that the smart Varmblixt would offer white and colored lighting effects, with the ability to smoothly cycle between 12 preselected shades. It will connect to the brand’s Dirigera hub for remote controls via the IKEA Home smart app, where you can adjust the color of the light, switch multiple units on or off simultaneously, and set up a schedule. For those who do not have a Dirigera Hub, support for Matter means you will be able to operate the light via other third-party apps like Google Home or Apple Home.
It remains to be seen when IKEA will release the Varmblixt LED table/wall lamp, dimmable smart/white glass colour and white spectrum, 30 cm in its home market of Sweden, or further afield.
