Govee will shortly release a new smart lighting product: the Outdoor Filament String Lights. The upcoming product was spotted on the brand’s Coming Soon page, alongside other products like the Outdoor Cylinder Pathway Lights.
An image of the Govee Outdoor Filament String Lights seems to show a round, clear glass bulb, with a black plastic cap and matching wires. Each transparent bulb is said to have a four-color filament “for an elegant glow”. The company has also stated that, for white light, the product generates up to 120 lumens brightness; it is unclear whether this is per bulb or across the string, though the former seems more likely.
Govee has also confirmed that the Outdoor Filament String Lights are IP67 rated for dust and water resistance, as well as UV resistant, making them suitable for use all year round. Users are expected to be able to remotely control these smart lights via the Govee smartphone app. Further specifications, such as the number of bulbs, the string length and compatibility with protocols like Matter, have yet to be confirmed.
When the Govee Outdoor Filament String Lights will launch remains to be seen. They can be found on the Coming Soon page on both the brand’s US and EU websites, pointing to a release in at least these two markets. As an indication of price, the older Govee Outdoor Clear Bulb String Lights in a 48 ft string retails for $99.99 (curr. $79.99 at Amazon).
