A new Govee Ceiling Fan With Lights appears to be on the way. This would be a first for the brand, which already offers a range of smart fans and smart ceiling lights like the Govee Ceiling Light (white version curr. $71.99 at Amazon).
This unreleased Govee smart home device was recently spotted in the database of the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), the body responsible for managing protocols like Matter and Zigbee. According to the CSA page, the Govee Ceiling Fan with Lights can deliver colored light effects, as well as help to circulate air to cool the space. It will offer remote controls via the Govee app, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. On top of this, support for Matter means that it will integrate with many other smart home ecosystems.
This could be the same device as the Govee Outdoor Ceiling Fan with Light, which was reported by Matter Alpha a few days ago. The site lists a similar feature set, suggesting that the fan offers two modes and that the product is designed for outdoor use. Plus, there is a supposed image of the device (above), though the source of this picture has not been disclosed by the blog.
Govee has yet to officially announce its new Ceiling Fan With Lights. It remains to be seen when this product could launch, and at what price.
