New premium Govee outdoor string lights with Matter coming soon

Govee has announced the Outdoor Chromatic String Lights. This new smart lighting product appears to be a premium addition to the brand’s line-up, which already includes models like the Outdoor String Lights 2 (144 ft curr. $189.99 at Amazon).

The Govee Outdoor Chromatic String Lights are said to offer “ultra-high-density LEDs”, creating a range of dynamic white and colored lighting effects. Each bulb has a dual-layered design, said to deliver a “captivating glow”. Posts from community testers on the brand’s forum indicate that there are at least two versions of the product: a 10 m (~33 ft) string with 10 bulbs and a 15 m (~50 ft) string with 15 bulbs.

Users can remotely control the Govee Outdoor Chromatic String Lights through the brand’s app. They support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, work with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and are also compatible with Matter. These smart bulbs are IP67 rated and UV resistant, making them suitable for all weathers.
