New Govee Cone Tree Lights with Matter appear

Govee appears to be working on the Cone Tree Lights 2. The name of this product suggests that it could be an upgraded version of the original smart Cone Tree Lights, released at the end of 2024.
The unreleased Govee Cone Tree Lights 2 have been spotted in the database of the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), the body responsible for smart home protocols like Matter. The page confirms that this smart lighting product is designed for outdoor use, providing dynamic colored lighting effects. It supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for remote controls via the Govee Home app. Plus, Matter 1.3 compatibility will enable users to integrate the lights with smart home products from many other ecosystems.
The full specifications of the Govee Cone Tree Lights 2, such as the size(s), color(s) and details about the light source, have yet to be confirmed. As an indication, the original Cone Tree Lights features RGBIC lamp beads, with 82 preset scene modes including music-synced options. The 6 ft (1.82 m) or 7.5 ft (2.28 m) tall trees were topped with a star-shaped light, and could be used indoors or outdoors. It is worth noting that the new product is listed as model H6842; the two sizes of the original Cone Tree Lights are models H6840 and H6841.
The Govee Cone Tree Lights 2 have yet to be officially announced by the brand. As such, it is unclear when this product will be released. Pricewise, it is likely to have a similar or higher RRP to the original Cone Tree Lights; the 6ft model retails for $159.99 (Amazon) and the 7.5ft version $189.99 (Amazon).
