New Philips Hue update improves battery status accuracy

An update for some Philips Hue accessories has been rolled out to users. The last update for all Philips Hue accessories rolled out in December 2024, bringing minor bug fixes.
Now, software version 67.116.1/2.85.1/2.85.5 is being pushed to users of the brand’s battery-powered accessories like the Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2 (curr. from $28.60 via Amazon). However, it is worth noting that this excludes any of the brand’s Secure cameras.
According to the change log for this February 2026 update, it should provide more accurate battery status information. There is a bug fix for the Philips Hue Motion sensor, addressing an issue where low sensitivity levels were not working as expected. Plus, it includes other minor bug fixes and improvements, though further details are not provided.
The Philips Hue accessories software version 67.116.1/2.85.1/2.85 should reach eligible users automatically via the Philips Hue app. You can check that you have these updates enabled in the app by going to Settings > Software update > Automatic update.
