IKEA has finally released the Klippbok Water leakage sensor in the UK. Already available in the US and the EU, this is one of the brand’s new Matter compatible smart home devices. It features a relatively compact body and has an integrated alarm to alert you to leaks when detected.

The IKEA Klippbok Water leakage sensor, smart, is now available in the UK. This new smart home product launched in early December 2025 and is already selling in markets like the US and the EU.

IKEA’s Klippbok sensor is designed to alert you to a leak from a sink or an appliance like a dishwasher or washing machine. It has an integrated alarm, beeping when it comes into contact with water. As well as this audible alert, users can also get notifications on their smartphone via the IKEA Home smart app, when it is paired to one of the brand’s Dirigera hubs.

On top of this, IKEA’s Klippbok water leakage sensor supports Matter, which means that it can work with smart home products in other ecosystems like Google Home or Apple Home. The device is powered by a single AAA battery, and is relatively compact; it measures 17 x 70 x 40 mm (~0.67 x 2.76 x 1.57 inches).

At the IKEA online store in the UK, you can now buy the Klippbok Water leakage sensor for £7. The Store Purchase tool indicates that the product is also available at many of the brand’s physical stores. The Klippbok is part of a broader range of new Matter compatible smart home products from the brand. The company also offers various smart bulbs and other sensors to monitor things like air quality. Plus, a smart version of the Varmblixt lamp is also on the way.
