New Xiaomi Washing Machine Pro with super electrolysis feature launches

A new Xiaomi smart washing machine has launched in China. The Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolytic Smart Wash and Dry 12kg shares some similarities with the older Mijia Washing Machine Pro Blue Oxygen model.

The new Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro features the brand’s super electrolysis technology. Its effects are said to include stain removal, garment whitening and prevention of color bleeding. It also offers a 99% sterilization rate, and there are a total of 31 programs, which can be selected using the touch panel. These include a 12 minute quick setting, a wool wash and a pet hair removal cycle.

This Xiaomi washer dryer can wash loads weighing up to 12 kg (~26.5 lbs), and dry loads up to 9 kg (~19.8 lbs). There is a low temperature drying mode, with the cycle automatically ending when sensors detect that the clothes are dry. Other features include a 95°C (~203°F) drum cleaning mode and intelligent detergent dispensing from dual compartments, with the compartments holding 30 days' worth of the product. The smart washing machine can also be remotely controlled through the brand’s app, with HyperOS Connect and future over-the-air (OTA) updates planned.

In China, the Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolytic Smart Wash and Dry 12kg retails for CNY 3,999 (~$573). At the time of writing, Xiaomi has not announced whether or not this model could be released in Europe at a later date. In this market, the brand already sells the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 9kg (curr. €499 at Xiaomi Store ES).
