IKEA has released the Myggbett Door/window sensor and the Myggspray Wireless motion sensor in the UK. Already available in other countries, these smart home products can be linked to other IKEA devices, like smart bulbs, for automation. Plus, they both support the Matter protocol for a wider range of integrations.

The IKEA Myggbett Door/window sensor, smart, and the Myggspray Wireless motion sensor, smart, are now available in the UK. These two smart home products were launched in other European countries in December 2025 and have also been released in the US.

As its name suggests, the IKEA Myggbett Door/window sensor is designed to detect if a window or door is open or closed. When connected to the IKEA Dirigera hub, users can receive smart notifications via the IKEA Home smart app, notifying them when a window or door is opened unexpectedly. This sensor could also be used to trigger smart lights when a door is opened. The AAA battery-powered product has a white casing, measuring 17 x 82 mm (~0.67 x 3.23 inches).

IKEA’s Myggspray Wireless motion sensor could be used in a porch, staircase or garage, to automatically switch on connected smart lights. Designed for indoor or outdoor use, it supports simultaneous connection to up to ten smart bulbs or lamps. Plus, users are able to choose whether lights are automatically switched off after one or five minutes have passed with motion. This round device has a white finish and measures 40 mm (~1.57 inches) across.

Both of these smart home products are compatible with the Matter standard, meaning they can integrate with many ecosystems like Apple Home and Home Assistant. In the UK, the IKEA Myggbett Door/window sensor and Myggspray Wireless motion sensor retail for £7 each. The store stock checker indicates that these products are also available at many of the brand’s physical stores, including Wembley, Belfast and Edinburgh.
