The IKEA Alpstuga Air quality sensor, smart, is now available in the UK. This smart home product was released in Europe several weeks ago and has since also arrived in the US market.
IKEA’s Alpstuga sensor is designed to help users monitor the quality of air in a particular room in their home. On the pill-shaped display, you can view measurements for carbon dioxide and PM2.5 particle levels, as well as the current temperature. When not in use, the screen can show the time.
Like many of the other recent smart home releases from IKEA, the Alpstuga supports Matter, meaning it is compatible with many smart home ecosystems and apps, such as Apple Home, Homey and Google Home. For example, it could be paired with a smart air purifier, like SwitchBot’s model (curr. $99.99 at Amazon), which may be triggered at your chosen carbon dioxide level. The product has a white finish and measures 40 x 40 x 90 mm (~1.6 x 1.6 x 3.5 inches).
You can now buy the IKEA Alpstuga Air quality sensor, smart at the brand’s online store for £25. According to the product page’s stock checker, it is also available in a limited number of physical stores, such as Gateshead, Milton Keynes, Reading and Southampton.
