IKEA has released the Solskydd Bluetooth speaker worldwide. Unveiled in November 2025, it arrives alongside the Kulglass Bluetooth speaker lamp. All of these products have been designed in collaboration with Solskydd Tekla Evelina Severin, also known as Teklan.
The Solskydd is available in three sizes. At the bottom of the range is the portable 8 "or 19 cm version, with a patterned orange fabric color. The 11" or 29 cm version comes in a green, pink and blue diagonal stripe, while the 18 "or 45 cm size has a beige/orange colorway. Plus, all three sizes are available with a more subtle textured white fabric and white frame.
IKEA's Solskydd speakers support Bluetooth, allowing you to play music or a podcast from a connected phone or laptop. They also offer the Spotify Tap function, enabling you to easily pick up where you left off, or to generate a playlist based on your listening history. The 8 "model has a 2.5-inch driver for up to 80.5 dB volume, and its built-in 25-hour rechargeable battery and stand make it truly portable. The 11" variant has a 1-inch tweeter and a 4-inch woofer, for up to 83.6 dB volume, while the 18" version has the same 1-inch tweeter and two 3-inch woofers, for a maximum volume of 93.6 dB volume. These two larger sizes offer three EQ settings, and you could pair two units for a stereo sound experience.
The IKEA Solskydd Portable Bluetooth speaker, 8 "/19 cm is now available for $49.99/£29.00/€49.99. The mid-range Solskydd Bluetooth speaker, 11 "/29 cm is priced at $69.99/£50.00/€69.99, while the larger Solskydd Bluetooth speaker, 18 "/45 cm costs $99.99/£80.00/€99.99.
