Awol Vision has announced the Aetherion Max and Aetherion Pro, two ultra-short-throw 4K triple-laser projectors showcased at CES 2026. The new models are positioned for large-screen home cinema and gaming use, with availability expected in 2026.

Awol Vision has announced the Aetherion Max and Aetherion Pro, two ultra-short-throw 4K triple-laser projectors, at CES 2026. According to the company, the new models are designed to maintain full 4K image sharpness at screen sizes of up to 200 inches, targeting high-end home cinema, sports viewing, and gaming setups. Pricing starts at $3,499, with availability expected from March 2026.

The Aetherion series sits at the top of Awol Vision’s UST lineup and is built around what the company calls its PixelLock technology. Awol Vision says this system combines optical, mechanical, and digital alignment methods to reduce pixel drift and color fringing, issues that can become more pronounced on UST projectors at very large image sizes. The company claims this allows the Aetherion projectors to preserve fine detail and edge sharpness even at 200 inches, although independent verification of these claims has not yet been provided.

In terms of brightness, the Aetherion Max is rated at up to 3,300 ISO lumens, while the Aetherion Pro is specified at 2,600 ISO lumens. Both models are said to offer a native contrast ratio of 6,000:1 and support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, and Filmmaker Mode. Awol Vision also highlights its enhanced black level processing and dynamic tone mapping, which it says are designed to optimize HDR performance scene by scene.

Gaming is another key focus of the Aetherion lineup. According to Awol Vision, the projectors can achieve input latency as low as 1 ms at 240 Hz and support features such as variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM). The company further claims Dolby Vision Gaming support, positioning the Aetherion series toward next-generation console and PC gaming use cases.

On the software side, both projectors run Google TV based on Android TV 14 and are powered by a MediaTek MT9655 SoC paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7, which Awol Vision says is intended to support high-bitrate streaming and cloud gaming.

The Awol Vision Aetherion Max will retail for $4,499, while the Aetherion Pro is priced at $3,499. The company says both models are scheduled to go on sale in March 2026, with early-bird pricing and bundle offers planned via a Kickstarter campaign starting in late January.
