Samsung has announced the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV at CES 2026. The TV, codenamed R95H, supports 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut, which Samsung says is the widest color range currently available on a consumer television.
The R95H uses Samsung’s Micro RGB display system, where individual red, green, and blue LEDs generate color directly rather than relying on white backlighting and color filters. This approach allows finer control over color output and brightness across the entire 130-inch panel. Samsung says the display has received VDE certification for color accuracy, reinforcing its claims around precise color reproduction.
Image processing is handled by Samsung’s Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, working alongside Micro RGB Color Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro. These systems manage contrast, brightness, and color mapping in real time, with AI used to refine darker areas, maintain detail in bright scenes, and keep color consistency across different lighting conditions. The TV also supports HDR10+ Advanced for scene-by-scene HDR adjustments.
To avoid making the TV feel too big, Samsung has used what it calls a Timeless Frame design, which builds on its earlier gallery-style concepts. The frame is designed to make the screen resemble a large window rather than a conventional television. Speakers are integrated into the frame itself, with audio tuned to match the scale of the screen so that sound aligns more naturally with on-screen action.
The panel also features Samsung’s glare-free, low-reflectivity coating, which reduces reflections and maintains contrast in bright rooms. This is intended to preserve color depth and visibility even under strong ambient lighting, which can be a challenge with screens of this size.
On the software side, the TV runs Samsung’s updated Vision AI Companion. This includes conversational voice search, content recommendations, and access to features such as AI Football Mode Pro, Live Translate, and Generative Wallpaper. The system also supports integrations with services like Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. Audio features include support for Eclipsa Audio, designed to create a more immersive sound experience that matches the display's size.
Samsung will showcase the 130-inch Micro RGB TV at its CES 2026 exhibition space in Las Vegas. The company has not announced pricing or availability details for the R95H at this stage.
