Initiating a bank transfer on the subway without being disturbed or sharing private photos without nearby passengers seeing everything sounds like a very practical feature for prospective Galaxy S26 Ultra users. This feature has now been shown in action for the first time in the form of an official animation that was discovered in one of Samsung’s stock apps.

It’s pretty clever how leakers managed to get the official Samsung Tips app to reveal an official animation of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. By making the updated app believe it was running on a Galaxy S26 Ultra using a rooted smartphone, it revealed previously hidden references to an upcoming feature that has been rumored for some time and might debut with Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Ultra flagship.

The so-called privacy display is intended to simulate a screen protector that significantly restricts viewing angles to make it harder for nearby onlookers to see private data. Initial screenshots of the settings dialog for the new display feature have already been leaked in October 2025, and the Tips app has now also unveiled the official description of this feature:

Render animations are also included and show the front of the Galaxy S26 Ultra with its more rounded corners. However, the focus is clearly on how display brightness changes depending on the viewing angle. Unlike a screen protector, the privacy display can be configured to suit specific situations. For example, it can only be enabled for certain apps, or users can utilize AI to activate the feature in pre-defined scenarios.
