Honor has unveiled its new Choice AI Projector Air in China. This smart home theater model was recently revealed at an event alongside the Honor 500 series smartphones, the successor to the 400 series (5G 512GB Desert Gold curr. €379.90 at Amazon Marketplace).
The Honor Choice projector is a 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 px) model with an LED light source, delivering up to 280 CVIA lumens brightness. It is worth noting that CVIA is not an internationally recognised brightness standard, unlike ISO and ANSI. This LCD model has a 1.2:1 throw ratio, a standard aspect ratio of 16:9 and a contrast ratio of 2,500:1. The user can adjust the image with tools like intelligent obstacle avoidance and keystone correction. Plus, the integrated stand can be used to tilt the projector up to 160°, so you can throw images onto the wall or ceiling.
Honor’s Choice AI Projector Air has two more unusual features. These are AI gesture controls and support for a stylus, with the latter allowing the projector to function as a tablet. For example, you could use the stylus to tap the screen, to draw, or for dedicated games. This model has an integrated 5W speaker and ports like HDMI 2.0, USB and 3.5 mm audio. It supports Wi-FI 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, and comes with a voice remote.
Honor will release the Choice AI Projector Air in China on December 8th, with an RRP of CNY 599 (~$84). It will be available in two colors, white and purple, each measuring 200 x 201 x 55 mm (~7.87 x 7.91 x 2.17 inches) and weighing 1.22 kg (~2.69 lbs).
