Recently discovered trademarks indicate that Samsung is looking to rebrand its Neo TVs. The company currently offers a range of Neo QLED TVs with a Mini-LED backlight. Successors to these models could be named Neo Mini LED TVs instead, and there could also be two new Neo ranges.

Samsung has filed a range of new trademarks relating to its Neo branded TVs. In 2025, the company released a range of Neo QLED TVs, like the QN90F (75-inch curr. $1,797.99 at Amazon). Samsung describes the difference between its Neo QLED and QLED TVs as down to panel lighting, with the Neo QLED using Mini-LEDs and the QLED standard LEDs.

FlatpanelsHD has recently spotted a filing at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). It is for the name “Neo Mini LED”, which was filed on October 1st 2025 and is currently marked as “awaiting assignment to an examining attorney”. This suggests that some of Samsung’s 2026 models could be referred to as Neo Mini LED rather than Neo QLED TVs.

Similarly, at the USPTO, there is a filing linked to the mark Neo UHD for a television, due for publication on December 2nd 2025. Plus, in the Malta IPRegister, Neo Micro RGB, there is a filing for the name Neo Micro RGB for TVs, which is currently “under examination”. These would be new Neo ranges for the brand, though they are expected to be renamed existing lines.

In 2025, Samsung revealed its flagship Neo QLED 8K QN990F and other models at CES. Whether or not the company will reveal new Neo Mini LED, Neo UHD and Neo Micro RGB models at the next CES conference in January 2026 remains to be seen.
