Ace 6T: OnePlus’ new flagship smartphone debuts in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset

OnePlus has expanded its affordable flagship Ace series lineup with the launch of the new Ace 6T smartphone in China. The same smartphone will be introduced as the OnePlus 15R in the global market. The Ace 6T is the company’s first smartphone that features Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.

The Ace 6T has a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K (2780 x 1264) resolution and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. You get a dual rear camera setup here, consisting of a 50 MP primary camera and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. As for selfies, it has a 32 MP snapper at the front for capturing selfies and video chats. 

For those interested in knowing more about the device, the Ace 6T has a slightly larger battery than the Ace 6, featuring a massive 8,000 mAh battery with support for 100 W wired fast charging (the Anker Nano 100 W USB-C charger curr. available at $31.99 on Amazon). On top of that, the smartphone is said to use the same micro arc oxidation finish on the metal frame as the OnePlus 15. It also comes with multiple waterproof ratings, including IP68, IP69, and IP69K. 

Available in black, green, and purple colorways, the OnePlus Ace 6T runs the latest ColorOS 16 out of the box in China. It also has a dedicated vapor chamber cooling, which keeps the smartphone cool under load.
