Lava has updated its Agni smartphone series with the Agni 4. The company’s new device brings some notable upgrades over the predecessor in terms of design, processor, and display. For example, the smartphone now comes with a single display rather than the dual one found on the last generation model.
Speaking more precisely, the Agni 4 sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 2712 x 1220p (1.5K) resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 2,400 nits. Plus, there’s Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top for protecting the device against accidental falls and scratches. Under the hood, it’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage with no room for storage expansion.
As for software, the smartphone ships with Android 15 out of the box, and the company promises three major Android updates (Android 16, 17, and 18) and four years of security patches until 2030. Unfortunately, there’s no upgrade for the battery capacity. It retains the same 5,000 mAh battery from its predecessor and supports 66 W wired charging.
The Agni 4 boasts a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP OIS-enabled primary camera and an 8 MP ultrawide shooter. Upfront, there’s a 50 MP EIS-enabled camera for capturing selfies and video chats. The rest of the highlights of the smartphone include an in-display fingerprint sensor, Lava’s Vayu-AI assistant, an IP64 waterproof rating, stereo speakers, an IR sensor, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
Available in phantom black and lunar mist colorways, the Lava Agni 4 is priced at INR 24,999 (~$280) for a single 8 GB + 256 GB variant. The smartphone will go on sale in India via Amazon starting November. 25
