The Osmo Pocket 4 is nearing a full release after being rumoured as far back as May. Replacing the Osmo Pocket 3 (curr. $529 on Amazon), the Osmo Pocket 4 is expected to land around December 18. A month after the global arrival of the Osmo Action 6, the Osmo Pocket 4 would sneak in just before DJI's FCC ban in the US, which is set to occur on December 23.
In the meantime, Photorabz asserts to have obtained fresh details about the Osmo Pocket 4 ahead of time. Citing insider sources that wish to remain anonymous, Photorabz reiterates that the Osmo Pocket 4 will launch with a 1-inch type sensor. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether this will be a square sensor for shooting vertically or horizontally, the likes of which Apple already offers as a front-facing camera on across its iPhone 17 series.
Photorabz's other claims suggest otherwise, though. Instead, the YouTuber reports that the Osmo Pocket 4 will support an f/2.0-f/4.0 variable aperture just like the Osmo Action 6 before it. Thus, we suspect that the Osmo Pocket 4 will feature the same 1/1.1-inch sensor with 13.5 EV dynamic range as its Osmo Action counterpart. Moreover, the Osmo Pocket 4 is said to offer 360° panning like the Osmo Mobile 8.
