TCL has released a new smart TV in China, the A400 Pro. This 4K QD-Mini LED model, part of the brand’s QD-Mini LED Art TV range, is available in five sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch and 98-inch.
The TCL A400 Pro TV is a 4K model with a native 144Hz refresh rate, which can be boosted to 288Hz. It is said to cover 157% of the BT.709 color gamut, with Filmmaker Mode and support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ and HLG. There is also a range of gaming features, like auto low latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rate (VRR), and compatibility with Dolby Vision Gaming and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
TCL’s A400 Pro has an integrated speaker system from Onkyo, which works with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X. It supports Wi-Fi 6, and offers a range of ports including four HDMI 2.1, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. It is also worth noting that this is a relatively slim model, measuring 3.99 cm (~1.6 inches) thick.
In China, prices of the TCL A400 Pro TV start from CNY 7,999 (~$1,131) for the 55-inch model. It is unclear whether or when a version of this TV could be released in other markets. As a guide to how much this model could cost if it were released in the US, the 65-inch 2025 QM7K QD-Mini LED was released with an RRP of $1,499.99 (curr. $797.99 at Amazon).
