Govee appears to be about to release a new smart light: the Table Lamp Classic. This new model recently appeared as a Matter-certified device in the CSA’s database. Here, it is described as suitable for indoor use, producing dynamic white and colored lighting effects.

A new Govee smart light, the Table Lamp Classic, appears to be on the way. This product was recently spotted in the database of the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), where it is listed as a Matter 1.3 certified device. The CSA is the organisation that manages standards like Matter and Zigbee.

On the CSA page, the Govee Table Lamp Classic is described as a smart light that offers “different color light effects”. Suitable for indoor use, it will support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, allowing it to be remotely controlled via the Govee Home app. Plus, Matter compatibility means you could also use third-party apps, like Apple Home or Google Home, or voice assistants to adjust the light.

Based on the current information, it is unclear how the Govee Table Lamp Classic will differ from the Table Lamp 2 (curr. $79.99 at Amazon), which was released in late 2024. This smart light can produce white and colored lighting effects, with 60 preset scenes and a DIY mode. It also has features like music-synced lighting, the ability to set a time or a schedule.

Govee has yet to officially announce the Table Lamp Classic. It could be that this smart home product is on show at CES 2026 in January, alongside other recently leaked devices like the Floor Lamp 2 Pro.
