It's been almost exactly one year since Homey introduced the Homey Pro Mini, a more compact and affordable version of its Homey Pro smart home hub. At the time, it initially launched in the US and was slated to launch in Europe later this year. Just before the end of 2025, the manufacturer has finally managed to officially launch the Homey Pro Mini in Europe. In Germany, it is available directly from the manufacturer for €249.
The Homey Pro Mini is a more compact and slightly stripped-down version of the well-known Homey Pro. In addition to an Ethernet port, the mini version supports Matter, Thread and Zigbee. Those who also want to use Z-Wave, Bluetooth, 433 MHz and infrared for controlling their smart home can add the Homey Pro Mini to their setup with the Home Bridge.
Homey Pro Mini enables the networking of numerous devices, supporting more than 1,000 manufacturers. Extensive automations can be implemented using Flow, Advanced Flow and HomeyScript. If desired, energy consumption in your home can be monitored with Homey Energy. The hub allows for local operation, which can be upgraded to cloud backups for an additional €10 per year.
