The new version of the wall-mounted Xiaomi Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving 1.5 HP has been launched in China. This is an updated version of the original Mi Home Air Conditioner, with several upgrades.
Xiaomi's new Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving 1.5 HP is more powerful, with a 5,300 W cooling capacity and a 6,820 W heating capacity. The airflow rate has also increased to 900 m³/h (~530 ft³/min), and the 118 mm cross-flow fan blades offer up, down, left and right swing patterns. Another improvement is the introduction of Xiaomi's power-saving algorithm, which is said to make the model 30% more energy efficient than some of its predecessors.
The Xiaomi Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving 1.5 HP is a Level 1 energy-efficient device, according to Chinese standards, with an APF of 5.45. Both the internal and external units have a self-cleaning mode, and will operate in temperatures between -35 and 60°C (~-31 and 140°F). Users can remotely control the smart air conditioner via the Xiaomi Home app, and HyperConnect allows it to integrate with the brand's smart home ecosystem. Through the app, you can also get intelligent alerts for issues like a clogged filter, and you will receive OTA updates for the device. The internal unit has a white casing and measures 855 x 328 x 219 mm (~33.7 x 12.9 x 8.6 inches).
At the Xiaomi Youpin store in China, the Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving 1.5 HP retails for CNY 3,199 (~$452), though it is available to pre-order at a discount price. The company has not announced plans to bring this model to Europe, where it has already released the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco 3.5 kW (curr. €699 at Xiaomi Store Spain).
