The Xiaomi Mijia Refrigerator Pro Micro-Freshness Dual System Cross-Type 560L has been launched in China. This kitchen appliance has a range of smart features, including remote controls.
Xiaomi’s Mijia Refrigerator Pro offers 360L refrigeration capacity with 18 storage zones. Below the fridge compartment is a 200L capacity freezer, which can cool to as low as -30°C (-22°F). Users can remotely set or check the temperature of the fridge and freezer sections in the Mi Home app. The company suggests that its technology ensures the temperature is consistent to within 0.1°C, with three temperature probes for frequent monitoring.
The Mijia Refrigerator Pro is advertised as offering micro-chilling technology to store fresh meat for up to ten days at a temperature above zero, for improved taste and reduced nutrient loss. Plus, it comes with an ice maker with an anti-bacterial design. Users can remotely make ice via the Xiaomi app. Another smart feature is dubbed the “food alarm clock”, providing users with reminders when their food is approaching its expiration date, with support for voice and text inputs to the log. The model is said to run relatively quietly, generating as little as 31 dB(A) noise while running, and has achieved a Level 1 energy efficiency rating in China. It is also slim, measuring 892 x 600 x 1,912 mm (~35.1 x 23.6 x 75.3 inches).
At Xiaomi Youpin in China, the Mijia Refrigerator Pro Micro-Freshness Dual System Cross-Type 560L retails for CNY 9,999 (~$141). Customers can choose between three finishes: ice crystal white, starry silver and apricot glass. Xiaomi has yet to bring its smart fridges to Europe, where it sells other smart home products like the Robot Vacuum X20 Pro (curr. €334.99 at Amazon DE).
