New Xiaomi Mijia Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner arrives

Xiaomi has released the Mijia Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner in China. This model is described by the company as “agile”, with its light body making it relatively easy to lift overhead to clean blinds or in the corners of a room.

The Mijia Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner offers up to 22,000 Pa (50AW) suction via its 110,000 rpm motor. There are two brush heads: a longer stick with a 250 mm (~9.8 inch) wide brush, and a smaller crevice brush. With the smaller attachment, the vacuum weighs just 860 g (~30.3 oz); with the larger attachment, it weighs in at 1.42 kg (~50.1 oz).

Xiaomi’s Mijia Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner has a five-stage filtration system, said to trap 99.9% of dust, capturing particulate matter as small as 0.3 µm. It comes with a 200 ml dustbin, and various parts of the filter are washable. Thanks to four 2,000 mAh lithium-ion batteries, the vacuum can run for around 40 minutes in eco mode, or 10 minutes at the highest intensity. It is worth noting that this model does not come with a dock, simply recharging via a USB-C cable.

In China, the Xiaomi Mijia Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner is priced at CNY 359 (~$51). The company has yet to announce any plans to bring this product to other markets globally. However, Xiaomi recently released the Truclean W30 Pro Wet Dry Vacuum in European countries, including Germany (curr. €349.99 at Mi Store).
