The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro was released in September in China as a high-end offering in the company's tablet lineup. Now it has received FCC certification, signaling that it will receive a global release. The certification reveals initial details of the tablet, including its battery capacity, network capabilities, and software information.
The tablet has been certified with the model number "25091RP04G." For comparison, the Chinese model of the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro uses a nearly identical model number, "25091RP04C," with "C" denoting the China model versus "G" for the global version.
The certification listing reveals that the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro will feature a 9,000mAh battery. Moreover, it will be powered by HyperOS 3.0, the company's latest custom user interface. In terms of network capabilities, the tablet will feature Wi‑Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0.
The rest of the specifications for the global model are still unknown. For reference, the Chinese variant features an 11.2-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2136 x 3200 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and Dolby Vision. Powering the tablet is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, Qualcomm's flagship offering from last year. The tablet features a 50MP primary rear camera and a 32MP selfie shooter.
There is also a standard Xiaomi Pad 8 model that launched in China and is expected to receive a global launch. It features an identical display but is powered by the less powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. More details are available in our review of the Xiaomi Pad 8.
