Following the launch of the flagship OnePlus 15, the company has also confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus 15R in the global market. It will be a sub-flagship phone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. However, the OnePlus 15 lineup is also expected to include one more model: the OnePlus 15s.
It is expected to be a compact performance phone succeeding the OnePlus 13s that launched earlier this year. In China, it may launch as the OnePlus 15T. A new leak from @OnePlusClub on X has shared early details of the upcoming phone.
According to the leak, the OnePlus 15s will feature a 6.31-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5K and a 165Hz refresh rate. The company is said to be using the BOE X3 panel, which is also used in the flagship OnePlus 15. Moreover, the 15s is tipped to be powered by the latest top-of-the-line processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
In the camera department, the OnePlus 15s is expected to use either the 50MP Sony IMX906 or the 200MP Isocell HP5 sensor. Meanwhile, the telephoto camera is expected to use the 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor with 50X digital zoom. Similar to the OnePlus 13s, the leak indicates that the OnePlus 15s may not have an ultrawide camera either. For reference, the OnePlus 13s featured a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony LYT700 primary sensor and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto sensor.
The OnePlus 15s, despite its smaller size, is expected to pack a battery of around 7,500mAh with 100W or 120W fast charging support. For comparison, the flagship OnePlus 15 with a large 6.78-inch display has a 7,300mAh battery (145W Ugreen 25K power bank curr. $65 on Amazon). However, the compact phone may miss out on wireless charging support.
Do note that these are unofficial specifications of the OnePlus 15s, and the final specifications could turn out to be different. Given that the OnePlus 13s launched in June, we expect its successor to debut around the same time next year.
