BOE X3 display of OnePlus 15 detailed ahead of the phone's imminent launch
OnePlus will launch its new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship soon in China. To be specific, the unveiling event is set for later in October 2025, and just a few days ahead of the launch, the company has shared the display highlights of its new top-end smartphone.
One of the newly shared teasers reiterates the slim bezels of the OnePlus 15, which is claimed to be 1.15 mm thin. This is thinner than the bezels of the Xiaomi 17, and such slim bezels on the display should make the flagship phone offer an immersive viewing experience.
The company also shares that the display of the OnePlus 15 is the custom BOE X3, which was jointly developed. Compared to the predecessor, this screen is said to have 30% improved lifespan, 10% lower power requirement, 13% higher HBM brightness, and 11.8% better color coverage.
Another teaser adds that the screen of the OnePlus 15 is managed by the in-house Display P3 chipset, which is said to ensure stable brightness. It's also said to be capable of going as low as 1-nit, promising a comfortable viewing experience in dark environments.
Other than that, OnePlus previously shared that the display of its upcoming flagship phone will sport a 165 Hz refresh rate. This is a proper step-up over the predecessor (512 GB curr. $849.99 on Amazon), which features a 120 Hz display. More details will be confirmed at the BOE X3 unveiling event that's set for October 14, 2025, in China.
