OnePlus 15 leak shares battery details of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship

OnePlus hasn't yet shared the launch date of its new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship, but through recent teasers, the brand has confirmed a handful of the phone's details. Some of the core specs, on the other hand, are still under wraps, but recent leaks have given an idea of what to expect from the phone.

One of the notable leaks comes from Digital Chat Station, a credible Weibo tipster. The leaker shares the battery info of three upcoming OnePlus phones, and one of them is the OnePlus 15, which is reported to feature a battery capacity of 7,300 mAh. This info matches what another Weibo tipster, Panda Is Very Bald, reported recently.

Nonetheless, a 7,300 mAh total capacity would be a notable step-up from the OnePlus 13, which sports a 6,000 mAh battery. Digital Chat Station has also shared the charging speed of the upcoming flagship. It's reported to feature 100 W fast charging support (Anker Prime 100 W charger curr. $59.99 on Amazon), while a previous report shared that there will be support for 50 W wireless charging as well.

Another notable detail shared by Digital Chat Station is that the OnePlus 15 will employ a dual-battery setup, comprising 3,575 mAh cells. This would mean that the battery capacity is less likely to see a reduction in the global market, something that's common for Chinese flagships going global.

As for the other two battery details, they are thought to be of the Ace 6 and the rumored Turbo phone. Among the two, the former, which is expected to launch as the OnePlus 15R in the global market, is reported to feature a 7,600 mAh battery capacity, while the other is said to have a 7,800 mAh capacity.

Digital Chat Station also shares that all three upcoming OnePlus phones will sport straight screens that are from BOE. These displays will sport a 165 Hz "ultra-high" refresh rate, something that the company has already confirmed for the OnePlus 15.
