OnePlus 15 leak reveals battery, weight, and thickness of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship

OnePlus is gearing up to launch its first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phone, the OnePlus 15. The brand has already showcased the device, but it has yet to officially disclose most specs of the smartphone. While recent leaks have already hinted at what to expect from the phone, a new report from Weibo user Panda Is Very Bald has reiterated the smartphone's battery details and shared the device's weight and thickness.

According to the report, the OnePlus 15 will feature a 7,300 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging, both of which are upgrades over its predecessor, and this info also matches the recent full-spec leak. The Weibo tipster adds that there will be support for 50 W wireless charging, which is the same as the last-gen flagship (Baseus PicoGo wireless power bank curr. $49.99 on Amazon).

What the recent full-spec leak didn't share, however, is the weight and dimensions of the phone, and the report from Panda Is Very Bald sheds light on it. The Weibo tipster shares that the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will weigh 211 grams or 215 grams. This would make the device slightly heavier than the OnePlus 13.

The report further hints that the OnePlus 15 will be 8.1 mm thick. In comparison, the last-gen flagship phone was as thin as 8.5 mm, so the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 smartphone could be a bit thinner than its predecessor.

As for the other design details, OnePlus has already confirmed that the phone will sport a screen with 1.15 mm bezels, which is thinner than the bezels found on the Xiaomi 17. The company has also teased that the smartphone will sport an "aerospace-grade nano-ceramic metal" midframe, claimed to be stronger than titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum.
