The brand-new Moto G06 Power is positioned as a new variant of the Moto G06, which differs from the older model primarily in its much larger battery. Motorola has replaced the 5,200 mAh battery with a 7,000 mAh battery, which can be charged via USB-C with up to 18 watts.
The larger battery also makes the smartphone slightly heavier at 220 grams. Otherwise, there are hardly any new features. As before, Motorola installs a 6.88-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1,640 x 720, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a brightness of 600 nits. Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen from scratches. The smartphone houses a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor with two Cortex-A75 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.
The Moto G6 Power also comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card. In terms of cameras, there is an 8 MP f/2.0 selfie camera and a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera capable of recording 1,080p videos at 30 frames per second. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is on board but no NFC chip. Disappointingly, the Moto G6 Power ships with Android 15 and will not get a single major Android update; Motorola only promises two years of security patches.
