There are many positive aspects of the Motorola Moto G86 Power that we highlight in our extensive review. For example, the bright OLED screen, the solid camera system, the sturdy and stylish chassis with IP certification, and the eSIM support.
But the most important feature is probably the large battery, which gives the smartphone a very long battery life. In its price range, it is very well positioned and lasts 27 hours in our Wi-Fi test. This makes it ideal for certain activities:
1. Long hikes or trips
If you like to venture away from civilization, it's practical to have a smartphone like the Motorola Moto G86 Power, as it can last for several days without a power outlet. And if you put more strain on it or it often has to search for a network, you have significantly more power reserves than with other phones.
But the Moto G86 Power can also be useful on everyday trips. While trains, buses and subways are becoming increasingly equipped with power outlets, not all of them are. With the Moto G86 Power, you'll run out of battery much less often. And even if you forget your power bank, it won't immediately become a drama.
2. Binge watching
Sure, at home you might prefer to use the TV or a tablet with a larger screen to watch your favorite series.
But if you have to change location, you don't necessarily have to stop at the exciting cliffhanger, as the Moto G86 Power offers enough battery life to stream for at least 10-15 hours.
3. Gaming
The Nintendo Switch, the SteamDeck and other handhelds have shifted the focus even more towards mobile gaming, and the Moto G86 Power is also well-suited for this.
It's certainly not the best choice for very demanding games, but if you're willing to lower your expectations a little, you can play for hours on end away from power outlets without the lights going out.
