Motorola has just confirmed global launch date for its next mobile device. A section on the company's website is pointing to a November 5 launch date for the Motorola Edge 70 ultra-slim phone. This confirms previous speculations about a release next month.
Motorola confirms November 5 launch for the ultra-slim Edge 70
The hype surrounding the Edge 70 is built for a reason: its design. This device will be Motorola's slimmest non-folding phone ever, clocking in at a sub-6mm profile. This device will launch Motorola straight into the ongoing "slimness trend" that industry giants like Apple (iPhone Air) and Samsung (Galaxy S25 Edge) are trying to establish. Motorola is confidently branding the device with the tagline, “Impossibly thin and incredibly tough,” signaling that they have not sacrificed durability for sheer style.
Aesthetics aside, the Edge 70 will bring some internal power. The device is rumored to offer 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Camera-wise, users can expect a 50MP main sensor assisted by OIS. Rumors also point to a 120-degree ultra-wide lens.
The Motorola Edge 70 is also said to offer a compelling media experience powered by stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos technology. As with recent releases from the brand, the Edge 70 is said to be available in a range of color options, including Pantone-certified ones. Leaks have mentioned shades like Lily Pad and Bronze Green.
With a razor-thin profile and solid hardware specifications, the Motorola Edge 70 will aggressively attack the ultra-thin phone segment. Unlike devices from Apple and Samsung, Motorola's is expected to be priced at around €690, placing it in its own "ultra-thin mid-range" category. So far, interest in ultra-thin phones hasn't been particularly high. We'll see if the firm can buck the trend with such an attractive price tag. For now, we just have to wait for the Motorola Edge 70 launch date.
