Motorola Edge 70 stuns with its flat display in leaked image

A few months ago, a leak revealed what was believed to be the first look at the Motorola Edge 70. The alleged image showed a device that looked no different from the Motorola Edge 60. While it isn't unusual for phones to have the same design across generations, that isn't the case with the Motorola Edge 70 as it turns out that image wasn't of the upcoming phone. A new leak has now surfaced, revealing what the Motorola Edge 70 looks like.

Posted on X by Evan Blass (@evleaks), the leaked image is a promotional photo, which lends further credence to its authenticity. Based on the image, the Motorola Edge 70 will be sporting a new design language.

For starters, the Edge 70 will have a flat display and not a curved one like the previous generation. This flat display design won't be exclusive to the Edge 70 as Evan Blass revealed in August that the Motorola Edge 2026 will also drop the curved display for a flat one.

In addition to the new screen, the Motorola Edge 70 will have a flat frame, although it curves at the edges where it meets the display and the back panel. It also seems to be thinner than its predecessor, the Motorola Edge 60 (available on Amazon.de for €373.92). The text on the image also highlights its thin design that is “incredibly tough”.

Another major design change is the camera island. While it still has four circles for the cameras, LED flash, and sensors, the camera island no longer seamlessly blends into the back panel as is the case with the Edge 60 (read our review). Instead it sits on its own, and even does so in a new position.

The Motorola Edge 70 is shown in a shade of green, and based on the logo at the bottom, it is a Pantone color. There is also a bit of yellow around the circles on the camera island, and it matches the color of the AI button on the left side of the phone. The image also shows the Edge 70 has a new finish, but we do not know what kind of material it is.

Nevertheless, the Motorola Edge 70 already wins our hearts with its looks, and we hope it impresses with its specs.
