Leaker Paras Guglani has discovered early evidence concerning what he believes could be one of Motorola's future Edge smartphones. For context, the company has just released the Edge 60 Neo with the same MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset that we have tested inside the Razr 60 (curr. $599 on Amazon). However, the Edge 60 Neo is one of half a dozen Edge 60 series smartphones, including the Edge 60 Stylus and the Edge 60 Pro.
Now, Guglani has spotted Motorola developing a device bearing the model number XT2605-3. For the time being, this device has only appeared on IMEI databases. Nonetheless, it confirms that Motorola has codenamed the device 'Avenger', which we suspect will appear in subsequent leaks before an official launch occurs.
Moreover, both the device's model number and codename indicate that Motorola will launch Avenger sometime next year. For context, the Edge 70 series' design leaked in the spring. As a result, Guglani has inferred that Avenger could be the successor to the Edge 70 or the Edge 70 Pro. No evidence has been presented that demonstrates Avenger is linked to the Edge 70 series at this stage, though.
