The Honor Magic 8 series is expected to be unveiled in mid-October in China. The series is expected to include at least two models: the standard Magic 8 and the Magic 8 Pro. Previously, the Magic 8 Pro surfaced on Geekbench. Now, the global variant of the standard Magic 8 has also made its debut on Geekbench.
The global Honor Magic 8 comes with model number "BKQ-N49", as opposed to its Chinese version with model number "BKQ-AN80." The Geekbench listing of the global model suggests it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor along with 12GB of RAM. The phone runs on the Android 16 operating system.
It managed scores of 3,563 and 7,632 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The multi-core result is noticeably lower, likely because it’s a pre-production unit. For reference, the Magic 8 Pro with the same chipset scored 3,634 in single-core and 10,813 in multi-core tests.
Previously, a tipster on Weibo revealed that the Honor Magic 8 will feature a 6.58-inch screen. It will have a 7,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. It is expected to come in gold, black, and blue color options. The expected release date in China is October 15. However, there is no concrete release date for the Honor Magic 8 series in the global market yet.
