The iQoo 15 is the company’s next-generation flagship Android phone, succeeding last year’s iQoo 13. The Chinese company previously revealed that the iQoo 15 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Now iQoo has revealed the launch date of the phone in China.
Posting on its official Weibo account, the company has stated that the iQoo 15 will be unveiled on October 20 at 7:00 PM local time in Shenzhen. Additionally, the company revealed that the device will go on sale immediately following the event. Note that this launch is specific to the Chinese market; the global release date was not revealed at the time of writing.
iQoo 15 specifications
Apart from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the company has kept most of the specifications a mystery. However, a prominent leaker has revealed that the phone will come with a 6.85-inch Samsung display with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
The phone is said to feature a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP 1/1.5" primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The iQoo 15 is said to come with a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging. Additionally, the company confirmed wireless charging support, a feature absent from the iQoo 13. Other notable leaked features of the iQoo 15 include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, symmetrical dual speakers, and a large X-axis linear vibration motor.
