OnePlus has been revealing key features of its next flagship phone, the OnePlus 15. The company recently confirmed the BOE X3 Oriental screen with a 165Hz refresh rate for the upcoming phone. Moreover, the device is confirmed to use the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. There were rumors that OnePlus would also launch a more affordable Ace series phone, which the company has now officially confirmed.
Writing on the Chinese social media site Weibo, OnePlus President Louis Lee has confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 6 will launch alongside the OnePlus 15.
However, the specifications of the phone are yet to be revealed. As a sub-flagship offering, the OnePlus Ace 6 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It may have up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The phone is also rumored to feature a large 7,800mAh battery. Recently, it received 3C certification in China, revealing 120W fast charging support.
For those unaware, the OnePlus Ace 5 series also included a Pro model. However, leaks suggest that Pro model may not be launched this time.
The OnePlus Ace 5 launched as the OnePlus 13R (curr. $549 on Amazon) in international markets. Hence, it is highly likely that the OnePlus Ace 6 will arrive as the OnePlus 15R in markets outside China. However, there is no concrete global release date yet.
