OnePlus will be releasing two smartphones on October 27 in China: the OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus Ace 6. The OnePlus 15 is a flagship device, succeeding the OnePlus 13. Meanwhile, the Ace 6 is a performance-oriented smartphone positioned in the upper mid-range market. Based on OnePlus' naming pattern, the Ace 6 is expected to launch globally as the OnePlus 15R. Ahead of the release, OnePlus President Louis Lee has revealed the key highlights of the Ace 6.
The OnePlus Ace 6 features a 165Hz display. For comparison, the Ace 5's display featured a 120Hz refresh rate. OnePlus announced on Weibo that the Ace 6 will support 165 fps gameplay in several popular titles, including Delta Force, Call of Duty Mobile, and Clash of Clans. At the time of writing, the exact display size has not been officially revealed. However, rumors suggest it will be a 6.83-inch panel with a 1.5K resolution.
Another highlight of the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This is the same processor used in last year's flagship, the OnePlus 13 (curr. $849 on Amazon). Moreover, the Ace 6 features a large 7,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Notably, this makes it even larger than the flagship OnePlus 15’s 7,300mAh battery. Furthermore, the Ace 6 features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP69K certification, and a metal frame.
While camera specifications are not yet confirmed, promo images point to a dual rear camera setup. Recently, we reported on the color options of the OnePlus Ace 6. It is said to come in Quick Silver, Flash White, and Competition Black variants.
The OnePlus 13 launched in China in October 2024, and then made its global debut in January 2025 along with the OnePlus 13R (which was a rebranded Ace 5). Hence, it is possible that the Ace 6 launches in international markets, rebranded as the OnePlus 15R. While there's no confirmed global release date for the 15R yet, the OnePlus 15 is rumored to launch internationally in November.
