The new Huawei Nova 14 Vitality Edition is essentially a slightly cheaper variant of the Nova 14, which primarily omits the telephoto camera. The mid-range smartphone is relatively thin and light, measuring just 7.2 millimeters thick and weighing 191 grams. However, the casing is only IP65 certified and so not fully waterproof.
The pill-shaped camera module on the back houses two LED flashes, alongside a 50 MP f/1.9 main camera based on a 1/1.56-inch sensor, which is accompanied by an 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera with macro mode. A multi-channel color temperature sensor ensures accurate white balance. The 50 MP f/2.4 selfie camera is based on a 1/2.5-inch sensor. Huawei has installed a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,412 x 1,084 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
A PWM frequency of 2,160 Hz ensures that the display does not flicker at low brightness, thus protecting the user's eyes. The battery has a capacity of 5,500 mAh and is charged via USB-C with up to 66 watts. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side of the power button. The Huawei Nova 14 Vitality Edition supports GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, including support for Sony LDAC and L2HC.
