The Vertu Agent Q boasts an unusual design, featuring not only a tapered bottom and a striking leather back, but also hinged flaps for quick access to the SIM card. Depending on the material, however, the smartphone can be very expensive.

Vertu has unveiled a new luxury smartphone, Agent Q, that is designed to stand out from its cheaper competitors with its striking design and luxurious materials. The device consists of over 320 stainless steel components, the back is made of authentic calfskin or crocodile leather, and the motherboard is gold-plated. In addition to the tapered bottom and the ceramic plate with the Vertu logo above the display, the most unusual design feature is probably the hinged flaps.

These can be opened using a Swiss-made hinge to allow the SIM card to be replaced without tools. Vertu is also jumping on the AI bandwagon in replacing conventional apps with an AI assistant that can be accessed at any time via the red button on the left side of the case. The hardware is equivalent to that of an affordable flagship from last year, as Vertu has installed a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB to 1 TB storage, and an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080.

The rear triple camera is identical to that of the Nubia Z70 Ultra, as Vertu also uses a 50 MP f/1.6–4.0 main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 50 MP f/2.0 ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/2.88-inch sensor, and a 64 MP f/2.6 telephoto camera with a focal length of 70 mm and OIS. There is also a 32 MP selfie camera. The 5,565 mAh battery can be charged via USB-C with up to 65 watts.

Price and availability

The Vertu Agent Q is now available in Vertu's online store. Depending on the color and material, the smartphone costs anywhere between $5,380 and $109,680.
