A new Geekbench listing has now revealed the highest scores yet from a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 device. The device in question appears to be the upcoming iQOO 15, and its test results blow Apple's new iPhone 17 Pro Max out of the water.

The past few days have seen a flurry of activity on Geekbench, with MediaTek's imminent Dimensity 9500 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, in particular, both earning fantastic scores on the platform. The Qualcomm chipset has been sighted yet again, this time on the iQOO 15.

This latest listing showcases the most impressive numbers yet by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The device in question looks to be the upcoming iQOO 15, listed with the model number "vivo V2505A". The iQOO 15 had previously been sighted on Geekbench with lower clock speeds and scores, and has also been certified in China with that model number.

The tested device earned a 3,824 single-core score but, more interestingly, a 12,402 multi-core score. While the single-core score is in the same ballpark as recent sightings of devices like the Xiaomi 17 Pro and OnePlus 15, a multi-core score north of 12,000 is well above any other recorded listing of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. For some perspective, it also represents about a 30% gap in multi-core performance between the tested device and Apple's new iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In addition to the scores, the listing reveals 16 GB of RAM and an Adreno 840 GPU. iQOO is yet to announce a launch date for the iQOO 15, although current reports point towards a late October release.
