Earlier this year, OnePlus confirmed that it would be introducing a new design language for its smartphones. The company’s upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15, is therefore expected to feature a new look. Ahead of the official launch, a prominent leaker claims a hands-on experience with the device and reveals more information regarding its design.
Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that the OnePlus 15 could feature a flat display with rounded corners and bezels thinner than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The tipster further claims the OnePlus 15 adopts an aluminum frame with a "ceramic coating". Moreover, the phone is hinted to feature a new colorway inspired by earthy tones, paired with a matte finish.
Leaks so far suggest it will have a square camera module design, departing from the circular camera housing of its predecessor. Multiple unofficial renders of the OnePlus 15 surfaced online. However, Digital Chat Station claims the leaked depictions are inaccurate.
As the company has not officially revealed the design of the phone, the above information should be approached with caution.
Beyond the design, the OnePlus 15 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. A recent Geekbench listing showed that the phone scores around 20% higher in single-core and multi-core CPU tests compared to the OnePlus 13, which had the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in October.
