Many new Chinese smartphones are expected to be introduced in October. This includes the OnePlus 15, which previously surfaced on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Now there is a new image circulating on Weibo, a Chinese social media site, showcasing what is believed to be the OnePlus 15.
A professional esports league called PEL shared an image on Weibo highlighting a new OnePlus phone. According to Digital Chat Station, a prominent leaker, this phone is the upcoming OnePlus 15. It also reflects the previous leaks that suggested that the device will feature a square camera module. Also worth noting is that it resembles the OnePlus 13s, which launched earlier this year as a compact flagship phone. The alleged OnePlus 15 seems to have a triple rear camera setup, compared to the dual camera setup on the 13s. Another notable detail is that there is no Hasselblad branding on the device, as the partnership has ended, and now OnePlus has announced it will use an in-house DetailMax Engine.
The device seems to be in a white colorway. According to a previous leak, the phone will also feature a new colorway inspired by earthy tones. Previously, a rumor suggested the OnePlus 15 would be a performance-focused phone, which is now more evident since it was featured by an esports league. Leaks suggest it may feature a BOE X3 oriental display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it may come with a larger battery with faster charging than the OnePlus 13. That being said, the smartphone is expected to launch first in the Chinese market, followed by a global launch.
