Oppo Pad 5 detailed with release and new high-end OnePlus tablet also rumoured

Samsung has just refreshed its flagship tablet series with the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. With Apple's next iPad Pro tablets not ready just yet, it seems that Oppo will next up with a fresh flagship tablet release. For context, the company launched the Pad 4 Pro in April which is now available globally as the OnePlus Pad 3 (curr. $697 on Amazon).

According to Digital Chat Station, Oppo is now preparing to introduce the Pad 5. Writing on Weibo, the leaker reports that the Oppo Pad 5 will line up with a 12.1-inch and '3K+' IPS display that maintains a 144 Hz refresh rate also found on the Pad 3 and Pad 4 Pro. However, the Pad 5 will likely sit between the pair in terms of size, given that they feature 11.6 and 13.2-inch displays, respectively.

Moreover, Digital Chat Station reports that Oppo has installed a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset to match the recent Galaxy Tab S11 series, as well as a 10,300 mAh battery with support for 67 W wired charging. Allegedly, the tablet will weigh in at 579 g too, with 8 GB, 12 GB and 16 GB of RAM options complemented by 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of storage.

In the same post, Digital Chat Station emphasises that these memory combinations will be joined by Grey, Purple and Silver colour options. For the time being, the leaker believes that Oppo will introduce its next high-end tablet during its Find X9 launch event, which is tentatively rumoured for the end of this month. Apparently, OnePlus will be releasing a re-branded version of the Oppo Pad 5 too in Blue and Grey finishes. Unfortunately, no other details about this tablet are known for now.
