Vivo's subsidiary iQOO has released the first teaser images of the new iQOO Watch GT 2 on the Chinese social media website Weibo. This timing is not a coincidence, as the smartwatch's hardware is apparently identical to that of the Vivo Watch GT 2, which was officially introduced today.
iQOO will offer the Watch GT 2 with a silver or black case, the latter is available in a glossy or a matte finish. The teaser images already show the smartwatch with a regular sports band and a braided fabric band. One of the biggest differences compared to the Vivo Watch GT 2 are the more striking watch faces, which can apparently feature up to eight complications.
iQOO has already confirmed that the smartwatch features a rectangular 2.07-inch AMOLED panel with a high brightness of 2,400 nits, which should be high enough to read the display even in broad daylight. The smartwatch further offers a battery life of up to 33 days. If these specifications are identical to the Vivo Watch GT 2, this runtime likely refers to the power-saving mode. With normal usage and enabled always-on display, users can probably expect up to 14 days on a full charge.
The Vivo Watch GT 2 has an NFC chip for contactless payments, a heart rate and SpO2 sensor, and support for sleep and cycle tracking. Additionally, it offers over 100 sports modes, including an AI workout coach for runners. It is reasonable to assume that the iQOO Watch GT 2 has largely the same hardware, although it remains unclear whether this smartwatch will also be available with an optional 4G LTE cellular modem and eSIM compatibility.
